Convicted pedophile, former hockey coach Graham James faces more charges

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. – Convicted pedophile and former junior hockey coach Graham James is facing more sex-related charges.

RCMP in Swift Current, Sask., say James is charged with sexual assault that is alleged to have occurred when he was coaching the Swift Current Broncos in the early 1990s.

The Mounties say they began an investigation after they received a complaint from a former player with the Western Hockey League team in September 2013.

James, who is 62, served 3 1/2 years in federal prison for sex offences against Broncos hockey player Sheldon Kennedy and two others.

He is now serving a five-year sentence for sexually abusing retired NHLer Theoren Fleury when he played for the Moose Jaw Warriors.

A lawyer for James appeared this morning in Swift Current provincial court where a publication ban was ordered.

The case was put over to June 19.

  1. I think these sickos should in the very least be permanently tattooed across the forehead that they are a rapist or skinner upon release from their tiny jail terms so their future victims at least have a chance of knowing to stay far, far away.

  2. The RCMP MUST post his PICTURE so people can look out for him in their town, neighborhood! ONLY way for US to protect OUR children….
