In the market for a throne? Check out this estate sale
ORLANDO, Fla. – A motorcycle, nativity statutes, mannequins and a gold-and-silver-painted throne are among the scores of items being sold off in a massive estate sale by The Holy Land Experience religious theme park as it deals with a financial crunch.
The estate sale by the Christian theme park starts Thursday and lasts through Saturday.
The Holy Land Experience is holding the sale amid declining revenue and contributions.
IRS documents show that in 2014, the most recent year filings are available, The Holy Land Experience had anywhere from $1.9 million to $2.5 million in contributions. By contrast, it had $42 million in contributions in 2010.
The theme park had a $1.3 million deficit in 2014.
The Holy Land Experience is part of Trinity Broadcasting Network, whose co-founder, televangelist Jan Crouch, died in May.
