RCMP are looking for help to find South Okanagan prolific offender

PENTICTON – RCMP are on the hunt for an Okanagan Falls man with a long criminal record who has been on the lam for almost three weeks.

Ronald Teneycke was sentenced to 90 days in jail following a conviction April 9, 2015 on a charge of making or possessing an explosive without lawful excuse.

He was serving the sentence on weekends, but didn’t report to the detachment on Friday, June 26. He is also wanted on three warrants for probation violations.

Teneycke’s criminal record spans at least two decades. He spent 12 years in federal prison for sex assault with a weapon against a 17-year-old female in 1993. He was found not guilty in 2012 of another serious allegation of sexual assault.

More recently, he served six months for breach of probation and drug possession in 2013. He was also charged with dangerous operation of a vehicle, flight from a peace officer and breach of probation in March 2014. His sister alleged at that time that police were harassing her brother.

Teneycke is a Caucasian male, 6’1” tall, 170 lbs with brown hair and hazel eyes. He may be driving a 1990, two-tone, red and grey extended cab GMC quarter-ton truck that may have a box rack.

Police warn not to approach Teneycke, but instead, call 911 immediately.

  5. Seriously he shouldn’t have been let out of jail in the first place.Whenever I ran into him he just gave me the creeps
