KAMLOOPS – A card skimmer was discovered at one of the pumps of a Chevron station in Valleyview and it’s unknown how long it has been there.
Staff at the gas station discovered the skimmer on gas pump eight around 11 a.m. on July 16, according to Const. Jason Epp of Kamloops RCMP. It is unknown when it was installed, whether it was even active prior to being found by staff or how many patrons may have had their cards compromised.
Anyone who used that pump before 11 a.m. on July 16 should carefully monitor their banking activity. If your information has been compromised contact your bank and Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
