Migrant workers still missing from Okanagan farm a month later

VERNON – Four migrant workers from Mexico have still not been found a month after an Okanagan farm owner reported the men missing.

Huizar Soto Uriel, 37, Isaac Jimenez, 28, Juvenal Rios Binedo, 39, and Juan Manual Sanchez Gallegos, 30, entered Canada on June 16, 2015. On June 26 the foursome departed the farm where they worked, leaving personal belongings and taking only their identification papers.

In an earlier release, RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk says foul play is not suspected in the disappearances. The group has not checked in with the Mexican consulate and it's expected the workers have relocated to a different farm.

The men's names are flagged with Canadian Border services and Homeland Security.

Anyone with information on the men is encouraged to call the Vernon RCMP at (250) 545-7171. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
