Clouds and showers expected for the next five days

KAMLOOPS – After weeks of drought and hot weather, Kamloops is going to get some rain over the next few days. 

Environment Canada is calling for cloudy skies and a chance of showers beginning today, Aug. 28, and lasting until Wednesday. It's going to be cooler as well with highs around 21 Celcius and lows down to 10 C at night.

Saturday is expected to be the coolest day with the most rain.

Meanwhile, a smoky skies advisory remains in place for the region as winds continue to push smoke from the Stickpin wildfire in Washington towards the area.

B.C. Environment air quality meteorologist Ralph Adams says while rain could help wash away the smoke and reduce fire behaviour, conditions could change quickly and the smoke could be back.
