KELOWNA – An award-winning actress from the TV show Once Upon A Time will be in Kelowna this weekend serving coffee and gelato to customers of a local restaurant.

Lana Parrilla is best known for playing Mayor Regina Mills and the evil queen on the hit ABC series. She will be at Il Tavolino Sept. 5 between 3 and 4 p.m.

Owner and chef Alessandro De Angelis says the visit was made possible after he met Parrilla while catering her production in Vancouver four years ago.

“We’ve been friends ever since,” he says.

De Angelis says Parrilla told him she was coming to Kelowna the first week of September and offered to help him promote the one year anniversary of his restaurant on Richter Street.

Parrilla will meet with fans and serve coffee and Italian ice cream after 3 p.m.
