KAMLOOPS – ‘My alarm clock didn’t go off’ could be a legitimate excuse for nearly 1,400 people on the first day back to school after an equipment failure left a swath of Kamloops residents without power this morning.
B.C. Hydro is reporting 1,391 customers without power in the Lower Sahali, Downtown, West End and Southgate areas.
Power has been out since about 4:40 a.m. and is expected to be restored by 7:30 a.m., according to B.C. Hydro. The outage is being blamed on an equipment failure.
