ESPN acquires US rights to 2020 European Championship soccer

BRISTOL, Conn. – ESPN will televise the European Championship in 2020 for the fourth straight time.

The network said Monday it had acquired U.S. English-language broadcast rights to the tournament, which will be played in 13 nations.

ESPN also obtained rights to all national team matches in UEFA competitions from 2018-22, including 2022 World Cup qualifiers and 2020 European Championship qualifiers and the new UEFA Nations League from 2018-21.
