Paving on Lakeshore Road starts Monday

KELOWNA – Beginning Monday, Oct. 19, to Wednesday, Oct. 21, alternating lane closures will be in effect on Lakeshore Road between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the first layer of asphalt between El Dorado and McClure roads, weather permitting.

Motorists will continue to experience delays and are urged to give themselves extra time or use alternate routes.

The final layer of asphalt was originally scheduled for the spring of 2016, but will be done this November as work is completed earlier than anticipated.

Improvements to this section of Lakeshore Road include sidewalks, curb and gutters, a multi-use pathway, on-road bike lanes and pedestrian and roadway lighting improvements.
