PESHAWAR, Pakistan – Pakistan’s air force says a small aircraft has crashed during a routine training exercise killing the pilot and co-pilot in the northwestern city of Peshawar.
In a statement, it said the aircraft went down near an air base Tuesday and that there were no reports of casualties on the ground.
The air force has begun an investigation, the statement said. There were no additional details.
Plane crashes during training missions are common in Pakistan, where authorities usually don’t release details.
