JACKSON, Wyo. – Firefighters stopped a blaze from causing irreparable harm to a more than century-old Wyoming log cabin.
The Jackson Hole News and Guide reports the fire erupted at the Cafe Genevieve in downtown Jackson early Tuesday.
Jackson Hole Fire Chief Brady Hansen says the fire was reported quickly and was extinguished in about 10 minutes.
He says the fire likely started in an outdoor area between a shed and the kitchen.
The door between the kitchen and the dining area was closed, preventing smoke damage to the cabin’s main section.
He says the blaze is not considered suspicious.
Investigators have not yet determined the cause of the fire.
The restaurant has closed indefinitely.
