Mexico rescues 4 after small plane fell into the ocean
MEXICO CITY – Mexican Navy officials say four people have been rescued after a light aircraft fell into the Gulf of California off the northwestern state of Sinaloa.
The Navy sent a rescue boat out after receiving a report that a plane had gone done and rescuers spotted the four survivors aboard a life raft about 40 miles (65 kilometres) out to sea.
The Navy said Wednesday the survivors suffered only minor injuries.
