KALEDEN – One person has been sent to hospital after a head on collision south of Penticton this morning, Dec. 24.
Around 7 a.m., a Honda Civic and a Ford pickup truck collided on Highway 97, roughly half a kilometre south of Lakehill Road in Kaleden. The driver of the Civic was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the pickup truck was assessed at the scene.
RCMP, fire and ambulance remain on scene. Traffic is down to single lane alternating traffic and could remain that way for some time. Roads are icy with slush and snow in the area.
– This story was corrected at 9:36 a.m. Dec. 24. It was a Ford pickup truck, not a Dodge (thanks to reader Cody Ross)
