KELOWNA – An employee of a frozen yogurt store was forced to turn over an unknown amount of money to an armed robber last night in Kelowna.
A lone masked male entered the store in the 2400 block of Highway 97 North and showed the handle of a gun before demanding money around 8:30 p.m., Dec. 29, Kelowna RCMP says in a press release.
Police contained the area and brought in the dog unit, which found a strong track but was unable to locate the man, who they believe may have escaped in a waiting car.
The suspect is described as a white male, 6'4" tall with a slim build, and wearing dark acid wash jeans and a white hoodie with a black and grey design on the front.
During the robbery, the suspect was also wearing a black mask and black gloves.
Police ask anyone with information about this incident to call 250-762-3300.
