LEE CREEK – Investigators are still examining the events which led to a suspicious death at a Shuswap home in November.
Following up on a complaint of shots fired, officers attended a Lee Creek home on the 2500 block of Squilax-Anglemont Road Nov. 28. Upon arrival they found a woman’s body.
At the time, police said the 47-year-old’s death was being treated as suspicious. An autopsy of the body took place Dec. 1.
On that same day, a man taken into custody in relation to the investigation was released by Chase RCMP. Investigators and the B.C. Coroner’s Service have released few details since.
Barb McLintock, a spokesperson for the B.C. Coroners Service, says officials will refrain from naming the deceased as they continue working to determine exactly what happened.
