CIS Football Roundup: No. 3 Laval Rouge et Or hammer Bishop’s Gaiters 57-7

QUEBEC CITY, Que. – Guillaume G. Bourassa rushed for 122 yards and two touchdowns Sunday as the Laval Rouge et Or celebrated their homecoming weekend with a 57-7 romp over the Bishop’s Gaiters in Canadian university football play.

Maxime Boutin also rushed for 122 yards for the Rouge et Or (7-1), while Christophe Normand added 116 yards on the ground to go along with a TD.

Antoine Leduc and Alexander Skinner also had rushing touchdowns of their own as part of Laval’s dominant performance.

Tristan Grenon threw for 139 yards and two TDs for the Rouge et Or, hooking up with Matthew Norzil and Felix Faubert-Lussier for scores through the air.

Shane McDonald had 157 yards passing to lead Bishop’s (3-5). Ryon McCalla had the long Gaiters’ TD to go along with 62 yards rushing.

David Haddrall was the game’s top receiver, hauling six catches for 114 yards.
