City repairs to water system may cause water issues for north Kamloops

KAMLOOPS – Emergency repairs on a water station may cause water issues in north Kamloops neighbourhoods and Valleyview.

The work will happen Feb. 10 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. as a valve at the Valleyview Reservoir is installed. This will allow emergency repairs at the Juniper Ridge Water Booster Station.

Water pressure may be low and the water may be hazy in the North Shore, Westsyde, Brocklehurst and Valleyview communities.

The city says the water will not be harmful as it has been disinfected.

Running a cold water faucet should help eliminate the haziness.
