WEST KELOWNA – It’s a sure sign of spring. Street sweepers will begin the task of cleaning up the roads in West Kelowna on Tuesday.
The sweepers will start in lower elevation neighbourhoods where the snow and ice has completely melted, according to a media release from the City of West Kelowna.
Sweeping will be done in school zones during the spring break.
Signs will be put up letting residents know when the street sweepers will be working in their neighbourhoods, the release says. The city is asking people to keep their vehicles off the street so the crews can to a complete job.
The city estimates it will take six to eight weeks to clean the 250 kilometres roads in West Kelowna.
For more information you can go to the city’s website.
