UPPER MARLBORO, Md. – Two brothers have pleaded guilty in an attack on a Prince George’s County police station that claimed the life of a detective.
Malik Ford pleaded guilty Tuesday to attempted murder, conspiracy and a gun charge, while Elijah Ford pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge.
A third brother, Michael Ford, who had a gun and fired at the station, faces second-degree murder, attempted murder and conspiracy charges.
The attack occurred on March 13, 2016. Detective Jacai Colson, who was in plainclothes at the time, was killed after another officer mistook him for a civilian opened fire and shot him.
Police and prosecutors said the brothers planned and recorded the attack.
