Drug trafficking investigation leads to heroin, methamphetamine in Vernon hotel room

VERNON – A man suspected of running a dial-a-dope operation has been arrested by Vernon RCMP.

The 24-year-old Delta man was residing in local hotels and is believed to have been operating what is known as a dial-a-dope drug trafficking operation, Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy says in a media release issued today, March 24.

Police arrested the man, whose name has not yet been released, yesterday, March 23.

“Following the arrest, officers obtained a search warrant for his hotel room and located quantities of heroin and methamphetamine, an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency, and other drug trafficking paraphernalia,” Noseworthy says.

The man has been released for a future court date on two charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
