Cleveland police say a pickup truck carrying 14 people was involved in a three-vehicle accident, and medical officials say nearly a dozen children were among at least 17 injured.
Cleveland EMS officials have said six adults and 11 children were transported to hospitals after the crash Sunday, with at least one woman in critical condition. Most others were reported stable or with minor injuries Sunday.
Cleveland police said Monday in email that a car slowed to turn and was hit from behind by a westbound vehicle. Police say that pushed the car into the path of the eastbound pickup carrying 14 occupants, resulting in a head-on collision.
Police said three of the 14, including a woman who was ejected, were hospitalized. Their conditions weren’t available. Police say the truck’s other occupants were treated and released.
