Police seek to question neighbour in Manhattan stabbing death
NEW YORK – Police are looking to question a neighbour in the stabbing death of an advertising copywriter in her apartment on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
New York Police Department Chief of Detectives Dermot Shea said Monday that a female neighbour of Susan Trott is a person of interest in her death.
Shea didn’t identify the neighbour or give details. But he said investigators believe “all the pieces of that puzzle” of Trott’s death lie within her West End Avenue apartment building.
The 70-year-old was found knifed in the neck in her bedroom early Sunday, after a worried business partner called authorities.
Police found a trail of blood leading from the living room floor to the bedroom.
