SURREY, B.C. – RCMP have released photographs of a suspect in the brutal robbery and sexual assault of a 70-year-old woman in her South Surrey home.
Security camera images from a Langley ATM show the man who is believed to be a Caucasian male, 20 to 30 years old, 5 foot 10 to 6 feet tall with a medium build.
Mounties warn the suspect at the time of the offence had shoulder-length, light-coloured hair that may not be real.
RCMP say a man carrying a weapon burst into the woman’s home on Wednesday afternoon before restraining her and demanding cash and other items.
She could not comply and he physically and sexually assaulted her, causing significant injuries although she has since been released from hospital.
Officers are asking anyone who recognizes the man to come forward.
