MFC Bancorp posts 4th-quarter loss of $111.8 million

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) _ MFC Bancorp Ltd. (MFCB) on Monday reported a loss of $111.8 million in its fourth quarter.

The company, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, said it had a loss of $1.77 per share. Losses, adjusted to account for discontinued operations, were $1.13 per share.

The finance and supply chain company posted revenue of $406.2 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported a loss of $487.6 million, or $7.72 per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $1.58 billion.

The company’s shares closed at $1.85. A year ago, they were trading at $4.22.
