REGINA – The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have returned injured Canadian veterans Chris Van Zeyl and Ted Laurent to their active roster.
Hamilton (0-1) visits the Saskatchewan Roughriders (1-0) on Saturday night.
Van Zeyl, an offensive lineman, and Laurent, a defensive lineman, both missed Hamilton’s season-opening 19- 6 loss to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Aug. 5. Van Zeyl was out with a thumb injury while Laurent was nursing a knee ailment.
Defensive back Tunde Adeleke (hamstring), tight end Jake Burt (thigh) and receivers DeVier Posey (calf) and Bralon Addison (knee) will miss a second straight contest for Hamilton. Both Posey and Addison went on the six-game injured list last week.
Defensive lineman Dylan Wynn played against Winnipeg but won’t versus the Riders.
Van Zeyl was the CFL’s top lineman in 2019 while Laurent is a two-time CFL all-star.
