Incorrectly labelled cannabis oil capsules recalled in New Brunswick

Health Canada has recalled nearly 770 bottles of incorrectly labelled cannabis oil capsules in New Brunswick.

The department says one lot of Zenabis Ltd.’s “Namaste CBD Light gelcaps” contained THC, which is the main psychoactive ingredient in cannabis, rather than CBD.

It says the labels indicated each capsule contained 6.13 mg of CBD and 0.19 mg of THC, when in fact the capsules contained no CBD and 2.247 mg of THC.

Health Canada says the recalled lot was sold on Oct. 7, 2019 and the retailer is Cannabis NB.

The department says it has not received any complaints related to the recalled lot but the company has received one.

It says neither Health Canada nor the company has received any adverse reaction reports for the recalled product.
