One stolen vehicle leads to another; two men in custody

KAMLOOPS – Two men have been arrested after two stolen vehicles were located in the Kamloops area early this morning.
RCMP responded to a report around 3:45 a.m. of a stolen vehicle on Highway 5A headed towards Knutsford. When they arrived on scene, the vehicle was found unoccupied at a brake-check area as a red pick-up truck departed.
Police determined that the truck pulling away was also stolen and located the vehicle on Campbell Creek Road with the aid of a dog service member.
A 31-year-old man and 34-year-old man were taken into custody without incident. Kamloops RCMP are reporting that both men have previous criminal records for a range of offences including property related crimes.
