SASKATOON – Michael O’Connor threw for 449 yards and three touchdowns as the UBC Thunderbirds beat the Saskatchewan Huskies 41-36 on Friday night in Canadian Interuniversity Sport football action.
O’Connor completed 20-of-31 passes and ran in a touchdown for the No. 9 Thunderbirds (5-2).
Ben Cummings caught three passes for 124 yards and a touchdown. Trivel Pinto and Alex Morrison also caught TD’s.
Kyle Siemens was 44-for-67 passing for 520 yards, three touchdowns and an interception for Saskatchewan (2-5). Siemens’ 44 completions and 67 attempts both set Huskies single game records.
Mitch Hillis caught two of Siemens’ TD passes.
