Interior Health Authority building nears completion in downtown Kelowna
FIVE-STOREY BUILDING WILL HOLD 800 IHA EMPLOYEES
KELOWNA – Trades people are making the final push on the Kelowna Community Health centre in downtown Kelowna.
The five-story building has been under construction since late 2014 on the corner of Ellis Street and Doyle Avenue. It is due to open this fall.
The building is a big part of the construction renaissance centred around that intersection.
Kitty corner across the intersection, the 105,000 square foot Okanagan Innovation Centre is also well underway, albeit a few months behind the health centre.
The building will house 800 Interior Health Authority staff and bring together various departments previously located at 1340 Ellis St., with other programs located in leased space around the city.
