TORONTO – The Dow Jones industrial average lost 24.49 points to 13,114.59.
The Nasdaq composite index fell 22.44 points to 2,990.16.
The New York Mercantile Exchange, gold futures price for February advanced one dollar, 20 cents U-S to 1,660 dollars, 70 cents an ounce.
The crude contract for February rose two dollars, 37 cents to 90 dollars, 98 cents per barrel.7
Canadian markets are closed for Boxing day and will resume trading on Thursday.
