Pumpkins of Light Festival comes to Kamloops

KAMLOOPS – Gardengate is hosting the 11th annual Pumpkins of Light Festival.

The candles will be lit at 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. along a path prepared for viewing of more than 300 carved pumpkins of all shapes and sizes. Schools around the neighborhood and other community groups have volunteered their artistry to use Gardengate pumpkins as their canvas.

This free community event will allow us to highlight the Gardengate program: an innovative horticultural project that aims to promote healthy eating and active living for persons with mental health issues.

Join us, rain or shine, on Thursday Oct. 27, 2016 at Gardengate.

Gardengate is located at 915 Southills Street in Brocklehurst, just next to the Overlander Extended Care Hospital. This event is open to all ages. Refreshments will be served and organic produce will be available for sale in the greenhouse. We look forward to seeing you there!
