OTTAWA – Jack Beck scored the game winner Sunday as the Ottawa 67’s edged the Kingston Frontenacs 3-2 in Ontario Hockey League play.
The two sides traded goals in the first period before Beck broke the 2-2 deadlock with a goal 4:40 into the final frame.
Brenden Sirizzotti and Vsevolod Gaidamak also scored for Ottawa (1-1-0), and Brady Stonehouse registered two assists.
Shane Wright and Lucas Edmonds had the goals for Kingston (1-2-0), with Martin Chromiak helping out on both.
Will Cranley had 23 saves for the 67’s and Frontenacs goalie Leevi Merilainen stopped 27-of-30 shots.
Kingston routed Ottawa 8-1 on Friday and the Frontenacs dropped a 7-2 decision to the Mississauga Steelheads on Saturday.
