KAMLOOPS, B.C. – Beau McCue broke a 1-1 tie just 30 seconds into the third period Wednesday as the Tri-City Americans defeated the Kamloops Blazers in the Western Hockey League.
Michal Plutnar and Justin Feser, into an empty net, also scored for the Americans (23-15-3).
Tim Bozon replied for the Blazers (28-11-4), who saw their three-game winning streak come to an end.
Tri-City goaltender Eric Comrie stopped 24 shots to get the win, while Cole Cheveldave of the Blazers 34 saves in taking the loss.
