KELOWNA – A 48-year-old Kelowna man will face charges in connection to multiple bank robberies dating back to 2011.
Kevin Donald Power was arrested as he attempted to flee the scene of a robbery that took place Dec. 27, 2012 at 1835 Dilworth Drive. He was held in custody during the investigation that led to further charges in connection to three previously unsolved Scotiabank robberies; the first at 3275 Lakeshore Road, Dec. 9, 2011, and two more at 1835 Dilworth Drive, Feb. 3, 2012 and March 9, 2012.
Power is charged with six counts of robbery and two counts of wearing a disguise with intent. He is scheduled for court Aug. 22 and awaits sentencing for the Dec. 27 robbery.
