Anderson Energy Inc. (TSX:AXL). Energy. Up half-a-cent, or 100 per cent, to one cent on 13.8 million shares.
Pacific Exploration & Production Corp. (TSX:PRE). Oil and gas. Up six cents, or 12.50 per cent, to 54 cents on 5.4 million shares.
Canadian Oil Sands Ltd. (TSX:COS). Oil and gas. Up 79 cents, or 10.56 per cent, to $8.27 on 5.1 million shares. COS agreed to an upgraded all-stock takeover offer from Suncor Energy valued at $6.6-billion.
B2Gold Corp. (TSX:BTO). Miner. Down six cents, or 5.66 per cent, to $1 on 3.4 million shares.
Suncor Energy Inc. (TSX:SU). Oil and gas. Down $1.45, or 4.64 per cent, to $29.77 on 3.2 million shares.
First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (TSX:FM). Miner. Up one cent, or 0.32 per cent, to $3.10 on three million shares.

Bank of Nova Scotia (TSX:BNS). Bank. Up 11 cents, or 0.21 per cent, to $52.38 on 1.1 million shares. Scotiabank is expecting earnings from its operations in Latin America to grow steadily over the next few years as the region’s expanding middle class increases its appetite for financial services.Dieter Jentsch, Scotiabank’s group head of international banking, says he expects the bank’s annual earnings from Pacific Alliance countries in particular to grow by an average of nine to 11 per cent a year over the next three to five years.
