Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Aerospace, rail equipment. Down 11 cents, or 9.17 per cent, to $1.09 on 16.7 million shares. The sales drought for Bombardier’s CSeries jetliner continues with the announcement that United Airlines has selected a Boeing plane over the Montreal-based manufacturer’s fuel-efficient aircraft.
First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (TSX:FM). Miner. Unchanged at $2.72 on 14.2 million shares.
Athabasca Oil Corp. (TSX:ATH). Oil and gas. Up 10 cents, or 8.40 per cent, to $1.29 on 12.3 million shares.
Baytex Energy Corp. (TSX:BTE). Oil and gas. Up 46 cents, or 23.71 per cent, to $2.40 on 11.2 million shares.
Whitecap Resources Inc. (TSX:WCP). Oil and gas. Up 11 cents, or 1.57 per cent, to $7.10 on eight million shares.
Encana Corp. (TSX:ECA). Oil and gas. Up 39 cents, or 7.71 per cent, to $5.45 on 7.4 million shares.
Companies reporting major news:
Canadian Pacific Railway (TSX:CP). Transportation. Down $1.33, or 0.88 per cent, to $149.84 on one million shares. The railway posted record profits and revenue last year, but still missed analyst expectations. Calgary-based CP says it plans to cut almost 1,000 more jobs this year as it adjusts to lower shipment volumes amid a collapse in commodity prices and a weak Canadian economy.
