Kelowna family surprised by wild visitor
KELOWNA – Chloe Borthistle was telling her grandparents a story when suddenly she stopped and pointed outside.
Her father Brad says the 8-year-old was so excited she was unable to speak but drew the family’s attention to an animal that was staring back at them.
“We all turned our heads to see this bobcat gazing in,” he says.
Brad’s parents live on Lakeshore Road in Upper Mission and although it’s a rural area, they've so far only seen signs of a bobcat.
“It must be coming around, my dad and I found tracks yesterday,” he says.
During the two to three minutes it was there, the group watched it wander slowly around the house then into a neighbour’s yard.
