VANCOUVER – A remote area of the Yukon has been rattled by a 4.3 magnitude earthquake.
The quake hit 441 kilometres north of Whitehorse Saturday morning.
Natural Resources Canada says there are no reports of damage.
The community closest to the earthquake’s epicentre is Keno, which listed only 15 residents in the 2006 census.
A similar strength earthquake hit off Vancouver Island in late December, shaking residents in Victoria and Vancouver.
Yukon has experienced some sizeable quakes previously, including four 6.5 magnitude earthquakes between 1940 and 1956.
