SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Latest on the deposition of Bill Cosby’s wife, Camille, in a defamation lawsuit brought against her husband by seven women who claim the comedian sexually assaulted them (all times local):
4:00 p.m.
The Cosby accusers whose lawsuit led Camille Cosby to give a deposition Monday have tried again to obtain the legal case file from a Pennsylvania accuser’s 2005 civil lawsuit.
They argue that Bill Cosby should not be allowed to keep “a secret veil” over Andrea Constand’s lawsuit even though the civil case ended with a confidential settlement.
Cosby’s lawyers object to the Constand case file being released to the seven women suing Cosby for defamation in Massachusetts. His lawyers say they want to try the case in the press.
Their motion says Cosby’s vague argument that he would be harmed if the file is turned over does not trump their right to discovery.
Their lawsuit says they were defamed when Cosby’s agents denied the actor had molested them.
Constand’s complaint is the only one to lead to criminal charges. Cosby is due for a preliminary hearing in the case on March 8.

Camille Cosby is scheduled to be deposed Monday morning in Springfield in a defamation lawsuit brought against her husband by seven women who claim the comedian sexually assaulted them decades ago.
The room where the deposition is scheduled to take place has been cordoned off with a no-entry sign.
Lawyers for the Cosbys say Camille Cosby does not have any relevant information in the case and her conversations with her husband are confidential.
The women allege that Bill Cosby defamed them by branding them as liars after they went public with allegations of sexual assault. He’s denied their allegations and filed a countersuit.
