Toronto FC continues to audition talent, still very much a work in progress
TORONTO – The MLS season has already started but Toronto FC remains very much a work in progress.
At practice Tuesday, a half-dozen trialists looked to make their mark under the bubble at the club’s north Toronto practice facility.
Others, like Welsh striker Robert Earnshaw, signed on last week and are still learning the ropes.
Coach Ryan Nelsen says he wishes pre-season could have been longer.
But he believes his rebuilding squad deserved better than a 1-0 loss in Saturday’s season opener in Vancouver.
Toronto kicks off its home schedule Saturday at the Rogers Centre against Sporting Kansas City.
