Looking for a forever home, Vernon SPCA pets of the week

Tigger

Say hello to Tigger.

This handsome ball of fur was brought into the SPCA's Vernon shelter and has stolen the hearts of the staff.

This boy has been through quite the adjustment coming into the shelter and it has been a pleasure making him as comfortable as he can be.

Tigger is more on the quiet side and does not have much to say, but maybe if you take him home he will tell you his story.

If you would like to bring home an extremely sweet cat, he might just be the one.

Tigger has been in the shelter for over 100 days and is very anxious to meet his new family.

If you are interested in this little boy please inquire with the staff at the Vernon SPCA.

Ruby

Tigger, Ruby Credit: B.C. SPCA

Ruby is a border collie cross who is looking for a very active home. She requires lots of activity and exercise to keep her from becoming bored and acting out. When she does not have enough stimulation she will nip at people as a game, which is a behaviour we are trying to discourage.

She loves to run and go for long hikes with our volunteers. She has lived with children before, but would need supervision around very young children.

Ruby can be wary of new people and sometimes will bark, but once she knows you and is comfortable she is very loyal.

She is a bit of an escape artist and can jump over fences so her new family will need to be aware of that.

If you are interested in learning more, or meeting this sweet girl, please speak with a Vernon SPCA staff member.
