Indie thriller filming in Kelowna

KELOWNA – Halloween is coming early this year, as a new thriller film will be shooting in town for the remainder of the month.

The film, Tiny House of Terror will be filming in Kelowna from Feb. 6 until the 25th.

“We are very pleased to be hosting this full feature film production in the Okanagan,” Okanagan Film Commissioner Jon Summerland said in a press release.

Vancouver-based Sepia Films and Los Angeles-based Just Singer Entertainment will be shooting the Indie suspense thriller.

“The Indie film industry is a major economic driver in this province and it is really great to have it continue to grow as an industry in the Okanagan,” said Summerland in the release.

Starring in the thriller will be Francia Raisa (The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Bring It On: All or Nothing), Nazneen Contractor (Ransom, 24, The Border) and Jesse Hutch (The Butterfly Effect, Freddy vs. Jason, Arrow).

Directing the film is Paul Shapiro, who also directed Smallville, 24 and The X-Files.

Sepia Films was in the Okanagan not too long ago, filming the T.V. movie A Surrogate’s Nightmare, back in October.
