Baytex Energy Corp. (TSX:BTE). Oil and gas. Up 47 cents, or 7.67 per cent, to $6.60 on 8.9 million shares.
Teck Resources Ltd. (TSX:TCK.B). Miner. Down 23 cents, or 1.72 per cent, to $13.17 on 8.3 million shares.
Encana Corp. (TSX:ECA). Oil and gas. Up 43 cents, or 4.76 per cent, to $9.46 on 7.6 million shares.
Athabasca Oil Corp. (TSX:ATH). Oil and gas. Up four cents, or 3.45 per cent, to $1.20 on 6.2 million shares.

Cameco Corp. (TSX:CCO). Miner. Up 93 cents, or 5.94 per cent, to $16.59 on 1.9 million shares. Cameco is suspending its Rabbit Lake uranium operation in northern Saskatchewan due to poor market conditions. The company announced late Thursday that 500 jobs will be lost at the mine in northern Saskatchewan and about 85 at its U.S. operations, including employees and long-term contractors.
