Foothills Ravine trail expansion to continue

The City of Vernon is moving forward with the expansion of trails in the Foothills neighbourhood in 2017, with a new trail connecting Whitecourt Place to Foothills Drive along the top of the ravine.

During the development of the Foothills Neighbourhood Plan and the Parks Master Plan, residents expressed a desire to see these trails to improve pedestrian connectivity in the neighbourhood.

The first section of ravine trails was completed in 2016 and connects Copper Mountain Court and Whitecourt Place.

The project currently has a budget of $15,954 with another $4,000 approved for crusher chip surfacing.

For more information of this project, please email parks@vernon.ca or call 250-550-3518.
