OLIVER – A Canada wide warrant has been issued for a man in connection with a shooting last week in Oliver.
RCMP say Afshin Maleki Ighani, 45, is wanted for attempted murder and is considered armed and dangerous.
A warrant was issued for Ighani in connection with the shooting which occurred in Oliver last Wednesday, April 19.
He also faces charges for uttering threats, pointing a firearm, possessing a restricted weapon without a license, breach and other weapons possession charges.
Ighani is described as non-white, male, 5'9" tall, 166 pounds, bald with brown eyes.
Oliver RCMP ask anyone seeing Ighani to call 911.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts should contact their nearest police services or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
Police advise citizens not to approach Ighani, as he is considered armed and dangerous.
