Clark appoints chief of staff, deputy minister
VANCOUVER – B.C. Premier Christy Clark is starting to put a stamp on her new government by re-appointing some old faces.
Clark says in a news release Dan Doyle will continue as chief of staff to the premier, a job he took on in September, 2012.
Doyle spent 36 years with the Ministry of Transportation, including four years as deputy minister, and led development and construction of venues for the 2010 Olympics.
Clark has also re-appointmented John Dyble as her deputy minister and head of the public service.
Dyble was the top bureaucrat Clark put in charge of investigating whether government resources were being used for partisan purposes in the wake of a scandal involving a leaked strategy to woo ethnic voters.
Dyble concluded there were some serious breaches, prompting Clark’s Liberals to repay the government $70,000.
