ORLAND, Fla. – Canadian Kamal Miller, a second-round draft pick in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft, has signed with Orlando City SC.
The 21-year-old centre back from Toronto, who went 27th overall in the draft, made 78 appearances at Syracuse University.
“We have been extremely impressed with Kamal throughout this pre-season. He has come to camp with the right mentality and has earned a spot with our group,” Luiz Muzzi, Orlando’s executive vice-president of soccer operations, said in a statement.
Miller, who has played for the Canadian under-20 team, joins fellow Canadians Will Johnson and Tesho Akindele on the Orlando roster.
“Extremely blessed and grateful for this opportunity,” Miller said on social media.
