TORONTO – Toronto’s David W. McFadden is the Canadian winner of the lucrative Griffin Poetry Prize; Ramallah-based Palestinian poet Ghassan Zaqtan and translator Fady Joudah of Houston take international honour. Each award is worth $65,000 — the Griffin is believed to be the richest poetry accolade in the world.
