Man issues plea for information in son-in-law’s death in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS, B.C. – The father-in-law of a man who was found dead under a bridge in Kamloops, B.C., has issued a plea for any witnesses to come forward.

Steve Smith says 32-year-old Michael Young has left behind a three-year-old daughter and his common-law wife.

Young’s body was discovered last Thursday night on a walkway under the north end of the Overlander Bridge.

Smith says Young struggled with alcohol and drug addiction but was a good man and that he’d been seen earlier in the day.

He believes Young may have been at the wrong place at the wrong time when he was killed.

Police have also urged anyone with information about the homicide to call them. (CHNL)
